Day 1 Exploring the world

The Malama Honua Worldwide Voyage, sponsored by the Hawaiin Airlines. Our Polynesian voyaging canoes, Hokule'a and Hikianalia, are traveling over 60,000 nautical miles around the earth, bringing people around the world together to set a course for a sustainable future.

Day 1 - the task is to list 10 food items that I would take with me for 3 weeks on Hokule'a. Check out my google drawing below 

School Fun Run

I had so much fun at the fun run today. When it was the year 3's turn to do the amazing fun run, I made my way to the starting line. At first I was running behind some of the juniors and I think I was in last place but I some how had sped up. I was approaching the school gate to start off the block. As I was coming down the hill, I saw Lara just in front of me. I reached the first corner and my teacher Mrs Pohlen had the iPad with her, taking videos of me and Lara at the hard corner to turn. By the time I had reached the enormous hill, Lara was already up the top. I reached the 2 hill, and I saw Lv just in front of me. I finally beat Lv and I finally finished the enormous hill. I heard a beeping sound and so I turned my head around. When I looked back it was my Dad, I reached the top of the 2 hill. By the time I reached the other side of the corner, my Dad still had not made it around the roundabout. I pasted a truck and my Dad. I reached the front gate of

the spectacular school. My Dad still had not reached the big truck. I reached the 3 corner and there was the back gate. I ran the netball court and ran as quick as I could. As I got on the field, Lara was cheering me on. I finally reached miss Shannon and  when she wrote down my name, I looked at the paper and she wrote Lv and also wrote 1st place. I told miss Shannon that I was Francisco. After school, I went over to the office. My Mum and Dad thought I would get wet from the rain but I didn't get wet. Then we got super wet on our way to the car.

Our Ice skating Surprise! Sunday 14 July

My Mum set up a surprise for us and we did not know anything about it. I was feeling excited. On the way to the surprise, we had to guess where we were going. My guess was that we were going to the zoo. 
When we got there, I finally knew it was in the city. When I went in I saw an ice skating rink. There was a night market there too. I looked towards the ice skating rink, soon I saw my cousins from Avondale. The people from Avondale were, Aunty Anita,Aunty Lorna, Jared, Ronan, Imrana, Baby Lorna, Maria and Eli. When Avondale came towards me my Mum went to go move the car because the parking my Mum parked on was on for only half an hour(30minutes). Then when my Mum came and my family and Avondale went ice skating. After I put on my ice skating shoes on, I waited for my Mum to say I can go on the ice. It was my first time ice skating and I did not need the ice walking thing. My Mum said great job son. We even got to go on the slide. That was so much fun.

Zumba

Zumba was amazing and spectacular. I did lots of dancing at Zumba with LV, Mum and Tina. I had lots of fun while I was dancing at Zumba.

The Zumba was at otahuhu (near Dad's bar- Gemini and fresh choice).


I got really exited when I got there. One of the ladies came past me and Tina and said to my sister "Get it girl!". I was so tired.

I went with Tina outside to have fresh air(break). I had a break by myself.

When it was all finished we had to go and pick up my dad. The car I was in was white and black. The car I was in went past my Dad's bar Gemini. 

My green soccer ball

My green soccer ball is round and bouncy. It is a new soccer ball. It has black pentagons and has black lines on it.

Facts:

1. Never use you hands.

2. Always kick the ball.

3. Look before you pass the ball.

4. If you are going to shoot the ball in, look before you shoot the ball.

5. If the ball is coming high, use your head to shoot or pass.

6. Watch out for other players, other players can slide down on the field and tackle.

On the weekend my Mum  and Dad had a ceremony to bless their tatau.

South pacific games

Yesterday, the South Pacific Games started with the opening ceremony in Samoa. 

The south pacific games are, touch rugby, basketball, soccer, rugby, swimming, squash, netball, volleyball, badminton, boxing, karate, athletics, sailing, canoeing, tennis, archery. 

Today, the first games were on. The countries that were playing in basketball were Fiji and Cook island. The score was, Fiji-71 and Cook island 69. Next for bascketball was Solomon Islands and PNG(Papua New Guinea). Up next it was New Zealand and Tonga for soccer. New Zealand-11 and Tonga-0. Next it was Fiji and Niue for rugby, Fiji-18 and Niue-0. 

The south pacific games are hosted in Apia park(Samoa). I hope that Samoa wins lots of prizes.

My dad wants to play sports with the neighbours next door, but on the basketball the basketball court they just say hes to short, to short to score you're only 3 to 4 tall,

It was amazing. I had some chip's. I had to pick up rubbish in the park. The pool was open. There was cookies.  Also balloons. I was playing with my baby brother. The party was on the 2 of march. I got a goody bag.

Week 8 Reflection

I am in the Samoan group. The boys and girls in the Samoan group all have to do the sasa. I am in the front for the Samoan group exit. I was so scared to do the sasa super fast this week. I enjoy being in the Samoan group because my Mum is teaching the kids in the Samoan group.

Powhiri Day

All the new teachers,students and their families were at the hall.The Kapa Haka group was singing and the boys did the haka. My sister was in the kapa haka group.Their was a lot of students. My Mum was there. My brother was there.

Art week

Last week room 7 did mosaic art. Mosaic is small pieces of stone, paper of square. Then I saw my brothers tiger. In the hall I saw my 12 year sisters art work. Even I saw my own rangitoto art work. Even room 9's animal art. Suddenly I could never keep my own eyes off room 8's waka. Everything in the hall was amazing spectacular. The Samoa hat in the hall was amazing. The art exhibition was super fun, everything was great. There was great work in the hall. My brother Lv's tiger was spectacular. My mum's class art  was spectacular. All the art in the hall was fun too look at. Room 7's rangitoto mosaic art was spectacular. Room 12's art was amazing. Room 4's tiger art was spectacular too. Even room 10's animal work. Room 1 and 2's art was amazing. Even room 5's art is spectacular too. Art week was spectacular. All the art was spectacular. Everything in the hall was amazing. There was spectacular art in the hall. All the classroom's art was amazing.

Culture festival

The cultural festival was at the school. Cultural festival started last Thursday on stage. Lots of parents, audience came to the school. I was in the Samoan group.The only reason I went to the Samoan group is because my Mum was teaching the Samoan group. Cultural festival was a amazing. My grandparents came to watch the Samoan group. I had banana leafs around my neck.  The banana leafs had oil on them. The banana leafs felt nice on my neck. The Samoan group did a sasa and see i le milly rock and the girls dance.

Swimming Sports

Swimming sports was amazing and fun. There was races and games in the pool. My Mum made up the swimming sports. 

Times in Samoa

I love to be in Samoa because my birthday is there on January the 14th. I have ice cream for my birthday...sometimes. On January 15th it was my uncles birthday and he turned 21.

 Motat is an amazing museum. At motat there was a massive dome.  There was also a tram. I was with my Dad and Kaedyns.

My trip to Motat was spectacular. First Room 7, 8 , 9 and Room 10 went to the dome at Motat. I was with my Dad and Kaedyns  travelled all around Motat. I went to the trampoline monster game.

I love to do art because it is fun. I like to do maths because its good . Reading is good for me because it helps me to get better. I like my 7th birthday because I had ice-cream. I love helping my friends because they are nice to me. I love my sister Tina because she is nice. I love my Dad. My mum is nice.
